TPG employees were showcased in a promotional video for a volunteer expo event as they donated their time to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. They spent the day landscaping several homes that were near completion. Giving back has become part of our culture, our wellness program, and The Partners Group employees have been a regular part of the Habitat volunteering program for several years.

“I regularly volunteer with Habitat for Humanity because I get so much joy and pleasure out of helping good families get into a home of their own.  It’s gratifying to see homeowners working hours and hours on their own home, a Habitat requirement.  If I find myself in the area of a Habitat neighborhood that I’ve previously volunteered in, I’ll often drive through and smile when I see children riding their bicycles or parents working in the yard.” – Carrie McHale, Managing Director, Physicians Advisory Services Team Lead

“I have been a regular Habitat volunteer because of Jimmy Carter. He was the first president I voted for and he really promoted Habitat’s dream and vision of creating homes built from potentially recycled material and built by the community to serve first-generation families coming to this country. I love the concept as well as houses built by the community for the community fulfilling the American dream. I love Habitat’s mission, vision, and principles and believe it’s core to who we are as humans. Mission: seeking to put God’s love into action. Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live. Principles: Demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ, focus on shelter, advocate for affordable housing, promote dignity and hope, support sustainable and transformative development.

In addition, every time I volunteer, I meet great people who either I’m volunteering with or they’re Habitat employees. I have a desk job and it’s nice to volunteer where I can be physical either working inside a house or outside landscaping. When I volunteer with co-workers it’s great to find out what skills they have other than what I know of them at work.” – Doreen Barnhouse, Executive VP Operations
