The “Best Practices Agency” List Highlights an Elite National Group of Independent Insurance Agencies and Brokerages

The Partners Group, a leading Northwest based financial and insurance consulting firm, is pleased to announce it has again retained their spot on the “Best Practices Agency” list by Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) and Reagan Consulting. The Partners Group has been listed as a “Best Practices Agency” for 15 consecutive years.

IIABA and Reagan Consulting, an Atlanta-based management consulting firm, have been jointly running the “Best Practices” study since 1993. They evaluate the country’s leading agencies and brokerages in six revenue categories. This year concludes the three-year study cycle in which more than 1,100 independent agencies throughout the U.S. were nominated to take part in the annual study. Although participation required extensive time and effort, only 217 agencies qualified for the honor and acquired the “Best Practices” status. To be chosen, the agency had to be among the 35-45 top-performing agencies in one of six revenue categories. The selected agencies retain their status during the three-year cycle by submitting extensive financial and operational data for review each year.

A key goal of the “Best Practices” study is to create opportunities for agencies to improve their performance. The annual survey and study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the “best” agencies and urges others to adopt similar practices. The purpose of the research is to compile the operating statistics of the country’s leading agents and brokers. This is provided to the industry to provide benchmarks, operational information on growth, profitability, productivity and financial stability.
