Significant changes to Washington’s Paid Family and Medical Leave law take effect 1/1/26, expanding employee coverage and redefining employer responsibilities. These updates present opportunities for employers to assert new rights, particularly around reinstatement and preventing leave stacking. TPG’s Brycie Wasson will break down the specific conditions employers must meet to take full advantage of these provisions.

Meanwhile, updates signed into law to WA Cares bring easier employee benefit qualification, automatic exemptions for certain groups, and a pathway for those who previously opted out to re-enroll. The revised law also enables the purchase of supplemental private LTC coverage. Christine McCullugh of LTC Solutions will provide insights to help employers navigate and stay ahead of these legislative shifts.

Space is limited, please RSVP by August 22.
