Portland, OR – At the start of 2020, The Partners Group. Ltd. (TPG) announced a change in their current leadership structure.

Starting February 1, 2020, Brad Nantz will step into the role of President, and Rod Cruickshank will dedicate his full attention to his role as CEO. Cruickshank has served as President since 1995 and President & CEO since 2011.

TPG has been recognized by the Portland Business Journal as one of the top 100 fastest growing privately held companies in the region twelve out of the past 20 years.

“TPG is growing and becoming more complex, and we have a pretty big appetite,” Cruickshank said in an all-company announcement last week. “We need more leadership, and more focused leadership.”

When Bruce Kerr and Rod Cruickshank founded TPG in 1995, they were a small consulting team focused on serving the employee benefits and individual insurance needs of Oregonians.

Over 30 years later, TPG has 165+ employees in offices throughout the Pacific Northwest. Now one of the largest independent firms in the region, they’ve also expanded their service offering and expertise to include: commercial insurance, wellness, total absence management, and retirement plan consulting; health care analytics; and wealth management services.

Not only has the company’s steady growth prompted TPG to invest in a new and larger headquarters, it has also prompted a strategic expansion of the senior leadership team to sustain strong and healthy growth throughout this new decade.

“Brad is an exceptional leader who understands how to execute,” Cruickshank said.

Nantz joined TPG in 2015 as Executive VP of Physicians Advisory Services. His focus was to support and expand TPG’s Physicians Advisory Services division, which specializes in meeting the needs of physicians’ practices with employee benefits and insurance strategies. Before joining TPG, Nantz developed a deep knowledge of sales and operations in the employee benefits space throughout his 30 years in the industry.

Tim Kelly will step in as Managing Director of Physicians Advisory Services to fill Nantz’s role.

“Joining TPG four and a half years ago was the highlight of my career,” Nantz said. “When I think about this particular role and where the company is headed, I feel honored to lead this group of outstanding people.”

The Partners Group is celebrating this big step forward into its future.
