As part of The Partners Group’s holiday volunteering program, TPG employees spent the day assisting with multiple tasks. The employees were bathroom monitors, were on shopping cart duty and bagged and tagged at the check stand. During this time, some volunteers were invited to be a shopper. First, shoppers assisted a child to pick donated items that included: a new Columbia Sportswear winter coat, a fleece and a hat, books, stuffed animals (for themselves and siblings), personal hygiene items and more. The next stop is Santa’s sleigh to get a picture and a candy cane. Then the dedicated shopper(s) read from the wish list and gather items and clothing from the store for the child and the child’s sibling(s) included on the prepared shopping list.

Christmas for Kids is an annual event where local kids (who are identified by school counselors) are taken shopping at a local store by community volunteers to get items that are most needed (coats, books, hygiene items). Shopping is paid for with accumulated contributions over the past year from generous donors throughout the community.

The Partners Group employees who volunteered at Christmas for Kids: Paul Fedotov, Mike Gallagher, Shelley Sharp, Karen Mason, Michelle Gallardo, Adrienne Mulumba, Corinna McIntire, Jane Perlas, Katie Peterson and Mallory Fuller.
