The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for a an analytical and data-driven professional to join our finance and accounting team in our Portland, Oregon office.

How you will have an impact at TPG:

The primary role of a financial analyst is to compile and analyze financial information. They will also develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.

A typical day in this role:

  • Work directly with Director of Finance and accounting & finance team to develop annual budget and forecasting analysis.
  • Maintain annual budget and make periodic revisions in accounting system
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports across all departments
  • Perform data analysis and reporting for industry benchmarking, corporate valuation, and internal customer requests.
  • Track, analyze, and report divisions and company performance metrics
  • Perform audit of revenue allocations, research variances and discrepancies, and present findings.
  • Assist Director of Finance in analyzing investment opportunities, establishing target objectives to meet ROI standards and tracking results
  • Support the accounting team by providing back-up accounting assistance and completing other accounting projects as assigned

Key details

Location: Portland, OR, in-office with hybrid work opportunities

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $60,000 – 70,000 annually, DOE

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

What you’ll bring to the table 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance (required)
  • At least two years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles, OR completed Master’s degree with internship experiences, and familiarity with GAAP. Other combinations of work and/or education will be considered.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced modeling).
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency with a programming language required, preferably Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to concisely and effectively articulate complex concepts to business unit leaders

What will make you really stand out

  • You are an experienced financial professional with strong quantitative aptitude, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and an extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Data visualization and data analysis experience preferred (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Previous experience with CPM (corporate performance management) software; Prophix a plus.
  • Ability to learn and use various accounting applications and various databases and systems within the organization (CRM, ERP, Crystal Reports).
