The Partners Group Receives National Awards for Improving Employee Health

Wins Healthiest Employers ‘2014 Healthiest 100 Workplace Award’ and American Heart Association ‘2013 Fit-Friendly Worksite Platinum Award’

Bellevue, WA (March 4, 2014) – The Partners Group, which helps employers build employee benefit programs to improve and maintain employees’ wellbeing, is proud to announce that it has won two prestigious healthy employee awards.

Healthiest Employers, the leader in employee health analytics, best practices and benchmark data, inducted The Partners Group into the 2014 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. Being named as a 2014 Healthiest 100 Workplace means The Partners Group has achieved remarkable and sustainable success through a broad range of corporate wellness programs and employee wellness initiatives.

In addition, the American Heart Association awarded The Partners Group its 2013 Fit-Friendly Worksite Platinum Award, recognized for its efforts to decrease healthcare expenses and increase productivity.

The Partners Group attained the Healthiest Employers award as the culmination of a year-long, highly selective two-stage assessment process spanning the United States to include companies of all sizes from all regions and industries.

Healthiest 100 awards recognize employers who have comprehensively incorporated the most effective employee wellness programs and practices.

To be named a Premium-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite, The Partners Group had to implement at least one of five specific changes to improve the healthcare of employees.

Fit-Friendly Worksite Platinum-level employers:

  • Offer employees physical activity options in the workplace.
  • Increase healthy eating options at the worksite.
  • Promote a wellness culture in the workplace.
  • Implement at least nine American Heart Association criteria in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and culture.
  • Demonstrate measurable outcomes related to workplace wellness.

The Partners Group, for example, implemented “TPG Breakout” in which employees are encouraged to walk in pairs or groups during breaks on designated 15-minute routes. “It’s gratifying to be recognized by the American Heart Association for helping our employees live healthier lives,” said Doreen Barnhouse, Vice President of Operations.”
